2.1 When you visit this website

We automatically collect server log data (IP address — anonymised once no longer needed for delivery; date and time of request; page accessed; referrer; user agent). This data is technically required to deliver content and maintain stability and security.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stable, secure operation).

2.2 Getting in touch

If you use the contact form or write to us by email, we process your information (name, company, role, email, message) exclusively to handle your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and (f) (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

2.3 Newsletter / briefing

If you subscribe to our "Perspectives" briefing, we process your email address to send it. You first receive a confirmation email (double opt-in). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each issue.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

3. How long we keep your data

• Server logs: at most 14 days, then deletion or anonymised aggregation.
• Contact requests: until your request is closed, no longer than statutory retention periods allow.
• Newsletter subscribers: until consent is revoked.

4. To whom we transfer data

We transfer personal data only with your consent or where legally required. Processors (hosting, email delivery) are contractually bound under Art. 28 GDPR. Wherever possible, we use providers with data processing within the EU/EEA.

5. Hosting

This website is hosted on servers within the European Union. The host processes data exclusively on behalf of Hill Woltron Management Partner GmbH.

6. Cookies and tracking

This website does not generally use tracking cookies or web-analytics tools. Should we use analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will request your consent via a consent banner before such cookies are set.

Web fonts are loaded via Google Fonts. When fonts are loaded, your browser connects to Google servers, transmitting your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A self-hosted variant is in preparation.
